I am a little unsatisfied with the model because when it is not at the right angle, the moire effect is not very eye intriguing. So I try another pattern to enhance the moire effect itself. I thought that because I am dividing the areas into 3 before, the moire effect would be break out into 3 pieces. However, if I could make the line into a continuous circle, I could get better moire effect.

Then I discover that the whale tale is more difficult to perceive with this new pattern. Because the rotational piece itself have a strong moire effect that would take over the moire effect I embeded. With little offset, the pattern would be mixed up with other moire effect and the whale tale is too hard to be noticed.
