Thesis Project Idea

I want to do a thesis project that is an interactive installation showing the 4 tones called “阴平，阳平，去，入”, 4 tones of level and oblique, of mandarin language. I would translate them into the mechanical movement showing the curve of tone. This would be an installation that shows how our voices can be sound of nature.

This is how 4 tones of level and oblique look like.
The curve of the 4 tones are embedded into a landscape.
Each tone would have a rod that moves through that curve of the landscape.


I recognize the 4 tones of a microphone input in P5JS. The interaction would be a person saying some words to the tone machine I made and then the machine would show me the complicated and delicate movements of the tone of my voice.
