Central Park Soundwalk

Central Park Soundwalk

I did the soundwalk in the centrual park for 40 minutes on Saturday. In the soundwalk, a woman is whispering and telling about her feelings. She reflected on her past experience. Her mood sometimes is calm, sometimes sad, sometimes relieved.
I like the soundwalk when I heard about she is saying that a woman sitting in the bench taking photos, I found that there is really such a woman. When she says that an asian couple is taking wedding pictures, I found a Korean couple that is taking photos after 10 minutes. That kind of coincidents makes me feel that the way how people behave is always in common in some degree. This inspire me that I should make the sound and the scenery always in connection and that we should decide our route and investigate into our site to make such coincidents.
I think that sound walk is a good way of experiencing something immersively. I happened to read a book called origin. In that book, a person of ultimate intelligence invites people gathering in Guggenhiem Museum and give them each a pair of earphone. Different people are watching the modern artwork in different routes and sequencses, which is guided by the sound in the earphone.  They are watching art individually. I suggest that soundwalk can  further be explored in exhibitions, and I think that a specific artwork should have a unique sound texture.
