This project also gives me a reason to investigate parks in Shanghai. I went for Jingan Sculpture Park, Suzhou River Dream Park, Zhongshan Park and Long Wind Park. There are more parks in Shanghai. I just write my experience with these four parks.

Jingan Sculpture Park

This park is elegant and people who are tourists and families are going there. The famous museum Natural History Museum is inside. I think people walking in this park are expecting knowledge and artwork inside given to the fact of its name. I met a grandpa who lives nearby and he is singing a song called "Уральская рябинушка". Although it is a russian language song, he sang it in Chinese version. He is rigorous in his pose. If I stepped closer to him, he would ask me to be away because he needs his hands to dance in the air while singing.
He is singing in front of those oxes. Then he began to tell me how he cook meal for her wife every day. He also told me his daughter is working in USA in a famous company and his house is big and neat. I think he is a man with pride. And I guess that's why he is singing in front of oxes because oxes are representatives of robust body and self pride.
I feel a little bit of pressure to put my installation here. The installation here are amazing. I seldom could see contemporary artwork in parks in China.

Suzhou River Dream Park

People usually are not allow to step on grass in China. However, Suzhou River Dream Park allow people to do so. Because of its location, there are few elderly people in the park. There is a running sidewalk with red plastic so this park looks like a good place for a healthy living.

This park sounds great. It has a secret place. When people entering a park, they usually turn right. However, if you turn left in this park, you would discover a small forest with lots of birds. Birds are willing to live here and the sound is so loud like a zoo. However, birds are hiding so well. If you see with your eyes, you can find 4 to 6 birds. However, the sound tells you there is hundreds of birds. I thought of Jer Thorp's class of how to count birds.
However, birds are unwilling to step onto the sculpture there. I began to question whether birds would stand on my installation.

While I am riding my way to this park, I find this architecture. It feels so strange and I cannot understand it. However, when I later search for this building and I find people living there have understood it. The rocks outside are all manmade rocks. People are saying that it is its characteristic and although this would make air more moist inside, the strange appearance is also eye catching and make their apartment different from others. I think I am always acceptable to all forms of art. Now I find people living in this building are more generous than me. How could they accept this building?

Zhongshan Park

This is a park near my home. 10 minutes walk. I like this park because so many people are going there. What I don't like is that the most beautiful grass in Zhongshan Park are not allowed to be stepped onto. The only avaible grass is too crowded with people.
I finally chose this park because I want to look at my work very often to make sure nothing is going wrong.

Long Wind Park

A park with wind in its name would be interesting to me. So I go to Long Wind Park even though it is dark at night.
Night Park have a such different feeling compared to daytime park. It would trigger some magic and mysterioud feeling.
I think of the TV series Journey to the West. Many devil are living in the cave like that. Many cave parks like to use this too green green light. If deep blue would make people in a mood for psychology meditation, what about this green? It makes me think of many manmade thing. We are using this green light to make trees more green. But tree don’t like green color. They are green because green is returned by trees from the sunlight. This green would make nobody more happy. On the other hand, this blunt manmade green could also be appreciated. It triggers me some feeling that I would not have in other parks. It is telling me that this park is not natural and all the things in the park is for human beings and manmade nature.
